About Us

On Bush Street in Woodland, Lodge 1299 has been doing something most civic organizations only talk about: actually showing up. Members here organize Mother's Day brunches, host neighborhood art walks, and fill the hall every Monday for BINGO night. That mix of tradition and genuine local engagement has earned the lodge a 4.3-star reputation built on real community moments, not press releases.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has a national footprint, but Lodge 1299 operates with a distinctly Woodland personality. This is a place where neighbors become regulars, where a Monday night game turns into a standing weekly ritual, and where a First Friday event draws in people who have never set foot inside an Elks lodge before. The hall is straightforward, functional, and welcoming, the kind of space where something is always on the calendar.

Membership here connects you to a broader network of community service, veterans support, and youth programs backed by Elks National Foundation funding, all rooted in a lodge that takes its local responsibilities seriously. If you have been looking for a reason to get more involved in Woodland, this address is a good place to start.

What We Offer

Lodge 1299 runs a consistent lineup of events and programs that give members and guests real reasons to come through the door. Monday nights belong to BINGO, a crowd-drawing staple that keeps the hall lively throughout the week. The lodge also hosts seasonal events like the Mother's Day brunch, which has drawn strong turnout and positive word-of-mouth from Woodland families.

Beyond the social calendar, the lodge participates in First Friday Art Walks, opening its doors to the broader Woodland community and building connections well outside the membership roster. Members also gain access to Elks-sponsored programs covering veterans outreach, youth scholarships, and drug awareness initiatives funded at the national level but delivered locally.

The hall is available for private events, and the lodge regularly explores new programming as its community involvement grows. Whether you are a long-time member or someone curious about joining, there is almost always something happening at 500 Bush St.

"It was nice to see that the Elks Lodge is getting more involved in the community. I enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch, as well as the First Friday Art walk. They also have BINGO on Monday. Coming soon, this month is paint night, so get you tickets. The seat will be limited. I hope they will be having more fun upcoming events because Woodland needs it."

"I wouldnt even give it one star! Its a disappointment how one gal yes gal not "lady" because she had no class or manners to be called a lady! My husband and i were looking for a spot to sit right when i was about to pull out the chair she just came and plopped her dirty bag in front of me and says in a very rude tone..." i sit here!" there was no " excuse me" or anything in that manner! So i told her " well i dont see a name anywhere!" but she insisted that that is her and her mothers spot and they sit there all of the time! Its unfortunate how she acted...nobody there has treated us like how that gal treated my husband and i tonight! People like that should be banned from bingo halls! It should be a " first come first serve!""
